ASPiRE (Aerospace Research Engineering) team was founded in October 2017 by a group of students from the University of Western Macedonia. The common interests in aerospace applications, as well as the willingness to explore and learn unknown and different areas, have been the main reasons for its creation. Since then, it is the official aerospace research team of the University. It is composed and recruits new members, mainly from three of the Polytechnic Departments of the University (Faculty Of Engineering), the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Our mission
The mission of the team is the establishment of a research community within the University of Western Macedonia, the cultivation of a cooperative spirit among the engineering students, the real-world problem solving, the provision of free knowledge and the participation in various competitions with the goal of gaining knowledge, skills and experience from real world applications. Our vision is to promote the university and the exciting field of engineering and aerospace. We want to create a better future for all of us!
